🚋HTM (via TCS) – 2024
Role: Infrastructure Architect & Technical Lead Transition
Directly responsible for the technical management of the transition of HTM's entire ICT infrastructure landscape to the TCS management organization, following a won outsourcing tender.
As technical contact for both HTM and TCS, I have:
managed the substantive knowledge transfer,
the existing ICT infrastructure landscape compared to what is “market-based”,
actively engaged with delivery teams and suppliers.
In addition, I designed and presented a realistic transformation plan to HTM's CIO and IT management, focusing on stabilizing, modernizing, and future-proofing the IT infrastructure—including priorities in the areas of availability, security, and cloud integration.
💼 Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) – 2023
Role: Solution Architect – Public Sector
Responsible for the complete technical design within multiple RFI and RFP processes for organizations such as The Dutch Central Bank, Land Registry and HTM.
In close cooperation with bid management and account managers:
I designed realistic and scalable solutions (incl. cloud, network and platform architecture),
I substantiated this substantively towards the customer and internally towards delivery teams,
I ensured alignment between commercial principles, SLAs and technical feasibility.
My role went beyond advice: I monitored technical consistency, provided key content for contractual documents, and acted as a content-sparring partner for senior stakeholders at both the client and the provider.
🏥 Spaarne Hospital – 2022
Role: Independent advisor to CIO and IT management
Asked as an independent expert to provide a second opinion on the feasibility of the intended outsourcing strategy, as laid down in the contract documentation and RFPs.
My analysis revealed a crucial gap between the intended governance role of the internal organization and the actual technical and organizational agreements with suppliers.
Specifically I have:
a critical infrastructure scan performed,
determined that the planned data center move without IP changes was technically unfeasible — even with advanced SDN solutions like VMware NSX,
concrete alternatives and mitigating measures proposed to IT management.
My report served as input for recalibrating the strategy and risk management at board level.
☁️ T-Systems – 2012–2022
Role: Solution Architect / Deal Solution Manager – enterprise customers
For 10 years, I was responsible for the design and substantiation of complex infrastructure solutions within Managed Cloud Services for organizations in industry, agri-food, and business services.
I operated in a central role within both (pre-)sales as transition and implementation teams, with tasks including:
designing technical platforms for business-critical applications,
drawing up realistic transition and migration plans (including costing & pricing),
substantive coordination between sales, bid and service teams and end customers,
- technically manage (near-shore) operational experts
Technically I delivered, among other things:
twin-core data center architectures with VMware vSphere, SAN/NAS, backup & DR,
hybrid cloud solutions with private components and Azure integrations,
governance-supported infrastructures aligned with SLAs and compliance requirements.
I worked on projects for, among others: Vion, Wolters Kluwer, FrieslandCampina, Ordina and ProRail, always in close collaboration with client organizations and multidisciplinary teams within T-Systems.
🖥️ Various SME companies – 2001–2012
Role: Independent IT specialist & all-round IT manager
Fully responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of ICT infrastructures at approximately 15 smaller organisations (1–70 workstations), including those in accountancy, retail and medical services.
Activities include:
supply and installation of servers, storage, networks, workstations and peripherals,
1st to 3rd line support,
Microsoft infrastructures (Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory),
local management and on-site service with short lines.
This period laid the foundation for my later architectural knowledge and customer-oriented thinking in demanding situations.
