🚋HTM (via TCS) – 2024

Infrastructure architect
Responsible for the transition of the ICT landscape of HTM to the technical teams of TCS, after a successful outsourcing tender. In addition, a transformation plan was drawn up and presented to the CIO and IT management aimed at stabilizing, modernizing and future-proofing the IT environment.

Solution Architect
Involved in multiple RFI and RFP processes within the (semi)public sector, including for De Nederlandsche Bank, Land Registry and HTM. Responsible for the technical design and substantiation of offered solutions.

CIO and IT management advisor

As an independent consultant, I investigated the feasibility of the outsourcing objectives as set out in the contracts and RFP documentation.

My analysis revealed a significant discrepancy between the intended governance role of the internal organization and the actual agreements with suppliers. In particular, the desired data center strategy — in which servers would be physically relocated without changing IP addresses — turned out to be unfeasible in practice, even with the use of advanced software-defined networking solutions such as VMware NSX.

☁️T-Systems (2012 – 2022)

Solution Architect
For ten years I was active as a Solution Architect within the enterprise segment of T-Systems, where I worked for end customers in industry, agrofood and business services, among others.

I acted as technical conscience of the account- or bid team — both during RFI and RFP processes and during Managed Cloud Services implementations. My responsibility ranged from solution design and transition planning to technical validation of service propositions.

I designed infrastructure platforms for business-critical applications, focused on high availability, disaster recovery, compliance and governanceThese platforms were designed within twin-core data centers with VMware vSphere, SAN/NAS storage, hybrid Azure integrations, and private cloud components.

The technical solutions I delivered:

• Served as the underlying infrastructure for business-critical applications with high demands on availability and scalability

• Were supported with realistic transition plans and costing/pricing in collaboration with sales and bid teams

• Were fully aligned with customer SLAs, contractual requirements and governance needs

Projects took place for end customers such as Vion, Wolters Kluwer, FrieslandCampina, Ordina and Prorail where I worked with both customer teams and internal bid and service teams of T-Systems.

Independent ICT specialist
Responsible for complete ICT infrastructure of approximately 15 small companies (1–70 workplaces). Delivery, installation and maintenance of servers, networks, workplaces and printers, including end-user support. Specialized in Microsoft infrastructures and on-site service.
